Remembering my best friend today. Pooper was the first pig I'd had as adult, and he really was my best friend. Miss him dearly.

I lost you six years ago, today. You have been gone almost as long as you were beside me.

Can you tell me, then, why the hole you left behind keeps getting larger, instead of healing?

Twelve years ago, you were the start of all of this. Every pig since has been because of you. Everything I have learned, whatever knowledge I have gained and then passed on, has been from having you in my life.

I hope that you are doing well at the Rainbow Bridge. I hope you and Sly are having a great time together, and that he has introduced you to Punkin and Scooter. I hope the four of you will wait until I get there one day.

I love you, little man. And I always will. I hope you are at peace.

Seven years. You have officially been gone longer than I had you with me. Yet, a day does not pass that I don't think of you.

You are the reason this all started. The patriarch of the herd. Without you, none of this absolute joy, or heartbreak, would ever have happened.

I love you, little man. I always will. Please, look after all the boys that have come to the Rainbow Bridge after you. Especially Simon. I think he's going to need you.
