So many new faces, so many old ones!
Hi *waves*. Some of you know me from years back as Canadian Comforts or if your on Guinealynx, Eschimpf. I've been on a very long (too long if you ask me) break from all types of groups and forums. I was recently pulled back into our wonderful community via Youtube (so many comments and messages asking me to come back, you all touched my heart).
Why I left was due to a total break down in my life. My ex husband and I separated (divorce should be done soon, finally!!!), which resulted in a lot of stress. I have three human kids and needed to get our lives on track again before I could commit to helping, youtube video making and more. Well recently with kind encouragement I am at that point in my life where I can and want to jump back in.
So how about some piggie introductions?! I currently have four sows that I care for and a boar who my wonderful partner David cares for. Technically two of the girls are his as well but they all live together and fall under my care while his Boar Moehawk lives in his "man room" and spends time chilling with him there. All rescues, because adopt, don't shop.
Alba:
Breed Unknown
5-6 ish years old, true age is unknown.
She came to David and I two years ago. She hates me even if I think she's adorable. She is David's old gal and prefers to be handled by him but knows I'm not a push over and will pick her up for daily/weekly care.
Molly
American Breed
2 Years old Approx.
Molly is my baby girl. She came to us pregnant, nursing her second litter with Princess Peach from her first litter at her side. She had lost a lot of hair due to stress and lack of proper care. She stole my heart right away and we decided to not let her go.
Princess Peach (AKA Peach)
Abby cross breed
1 year old Approx.
Princess Peach unlike her sister, is tiny. We think because she had no baby care as an infant before coming to us resulted in her being the lightest and smallest piggie I've ever had in 8 years, but she doesn't let that bother her, she'll take on everyone. She was named by David (guess what game?) and is technically his, but she knows who feeds the most treats.......
Pumpkin
Abby Cross Breed
1 year old
Pumpkin was on of 6 piggies born in my house. Moe is the only other sibling from that litter that is still with us as we could not keep them all and spent the proper time to rehome them. She's my plus size abby, with curves in all the right places. She's by far our loudest wheeker.
On top of our piggies, we have a therapy dog (Odie), 2 black kitties and David has three bunnies, but I'm allergic to them and they stay in his man room, where he cares for them. Here is a photo of Odie, he's a year old Tibetian Spaniel Border Collie Cross. He's an owner trained Emotional Therapy Dog.
Well I plan on being way more active now that I'm doing better in life, can't wait to meet more piggie slaves like me.
