Rehoming Rehoming Fee?

Okay, after giving it lots and lots and LOTS of thought I have decided to rehome my piggies. I love them so much but I don't have the time or money or space for them anymore... So anyway, I was going to post an ad on craigslist for them and I was wondering how much the rehoming fee should be. This is what will be included along with the pigs.


-Two male guinea pigs

-Two deluxe midwest habitats

-A feeding dish

-Two water bottles

-Eight fleece blankets

-Two plastic hidie houses

-Three fleece beds

-Two fleece tunnels

-Hay rack

-One cat toy (they love to play with it)

I'd say at least $20 per pig, and some for the included stuff. Maybe $75-$100 for everything? Or maybe even more. You don't want it to be so outrageous that nobody wants to adopt them, but you need to make sure the new owners are willing to spend money on their pigs. Good luck finding a great new home for them!

Also what questions should I ask someone who is interested to make sure they're not animal abusers or breeders or anything..

You could try looking at some online adoption applications for guinea pig rescues to get an idea of what you should look for in a new owner.
