Red Cabbage?

I just wanted to check whether or not red cabbage was a good thing to give my cavies. I've been giving them a bit with their twice-a-day veggies, and they seem to love it, but I wasn't 100% on how good it was for them. I've also been giving them spring mix or romaine, baby carrots, wheatgrass (which they love), cilantro, dill, and parsley. They won't touch bell peppers, cucumbers, or tomatoes unfortunately.

It's ok in small amounts a couple times per week but not daily. Parsley is also not a daily food. I would also go easy on the spring mix and feed it sparingly as it contains baby spinach.

What should be the main veggie to give them? Romaine? Is wheat grass OK for every day?

I give my girls 2 helpings of veggies a day.

Mornings they usually get Green Lettuce or Romaine, 2 cut up baby carrots, or 2 slices of apple (alternate a few times a week)

Nights are there "main" feedings they get Red Lettuce or Romaine (depending on what i give them in the morning) Red pepper or Green pepper (varies on the day), Cherrie Tomatoe's usually 4 sliced up, Sometimes Grapes, Sometimes Parsley, Every day Cilantro, and if I have it i give them Honey Due, and watermelon, and Cantalope (these I give as treats not every day or weekly, more once a month)

I also give them Orange as treats and banana as well.

Variety is key

Daily they can have:
Leafy lettuces (no iceburg)
Cilantro
Bell pepper (capsicum)
Zucchini
1 small/medium baby carrot per pig
1-2 grape/cherry tomatoes cut in half per pig
Fresh grass including wheatgrass

Dill should be fed 2-3 times per week.

Everything else, rotate it around so they don't get it daily. If you have only tried cucumber, tomato and bell peppers once, keep trying them and leave them in the cage for several hours or overnight.

Great, that is very helpful. Thanks for the info. Now I have an excuse to keep fresh dill on-hand. Yum!
