Okay so I posted earlier this week about how I needed help re-bonding my two boars Obi and Sparrow as they recently had a falling out because Obi has reached puberty. They were separated for only two days as I waited for cage building materials. I am happy to say that the boys have upgraded to a 6 x 2 L Shaped C&C. There are currently no hiddies and the only things in the cage are two of all feeding supplies and few chew toys to act as distractions. The have been together in the cage for 7 hours and things are looking very good. They did get into a few 'fights' but there are no marks this time and are done with very quickly. The boys do get into chattering competitions but usually one pig will just run away. A little chasing and mounting has also been seen but i know that all of these behaviors are normal. I'm just so happy that a cage upgrade has seemed to help re-bond them although I do know things will not prefect until Obi's hormones calm down. Pictures of the boys new cage will be attached :)

Just a little suggestion, could you maybe add some shelter or hidey. Think "out of sight, out of mind".

Bent grid tunnel work well and the same goes for fleece forest. If you can't have those, a cardboard box with 4 openings can be fun. They can hide inside or behind.à

Other than that, your cage looks awesome and I'm sure they will be happier together than separated

I'm not planning to keep the hiddies out of the cage forever! Its only for a day or two while they sort out who is the boss pig. I'm following a suggestion I received from one of the admins to just leave the hiddies out for a day or two to prevent them becoming territorial over them.
