Ramp for 3-legged piggy

hello i am new to this web site, about three weeks ago i went to the pet store looking for a pet rat, but my boyfriend saw this pig in a cage with a price for 25 bucks so i took her out and she was pregnant, so i bought her, not knowing anything about guinea pigs. Two weeks later she had 3 baby girl pigs! all healthy. well my dellima is we both arnt too good on computers, i wanted to post there pictures and the c&c cage i built for them, but we cant figure it out, if you read this and you have any tips that would be great thanks

Here, I'll pm you so we don't take over the thread :)

Aww, the poor bub. He must be very happy in his new cage!

Welcome but I'm afraid I'm missing the topic. Who's the three-legged pig? What do you want to know? I'm a bit confused...

Babyhippie, your cage is very nice and well laid out but I notice you have colored pieces of newspaper in there. Colored newspapers aren't good for piggies to chew on because of the inks in them. It's better to stick with plain old black and white newsprint. Your pigs are so cute.

Annaliese, I need to ask you to read the posting rules and post properly using capitalization and punctuation. Your posts are fairly hard to read. You can read the rules at this link: https://guineapigcages.com/forum/announcement.php?f=27&announcementid=7

Thanks for the info Ly&Pigs. :)

That is something I didn't really think about! I'll stick with the B&W newspaper. I know newspaper isn't an ideal bedding, but I change their cage frequently & mix some Carefresh in with it. I plan to pick up some Aspen this weekend to give that a try.

Your welcome and welcome to cavycages. I am Ly, one of the mods. You can just call my Ly. Also, if you crumple up a couple pieces of newspaper piggies love to use them as toys.

Just an update:

Woody (the 3-legged pig) finally went up the ramp on his own a couple of times today. We've been feeding their veggies & fruit "upstairs". Woody would go up the rest of the way if we placed him on the very bottom of the ramp & he would come down on his own. I guess he finally feels comfortable with it. :)

Thanks again for the help & suggestions. They still don't run around in there, but at least they have the room to do so if they feel like it.
