Ramp advice

I have added a sort of second level to my cage - the top of the drawer/bed and some board covered with carpet attached to one corner. This second level type thing is very stable and has quite a large surface area. The problem is the ramp though - I made a wooden ramp with steps glued to it and it's not very steep but she won't go on it. When i put her on it, she'll walk up to the second level but she won't go on it on her own, even when i put veggies on the second level. She can smell the veggies and stretches herself up to the second level to try and get them but she won't use the ramp, if i put any greens on the ramp she'll stretch up and take it without walking on the ramp. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had the same problem with one of my girls. Keep putting her up on the second level and coax her down...then keep showing her how to go up. I think they just need to be taught for a while. Eventually she'll realize that she can do it, she'll get curious and she'll be running up and down all the time.

Ok thanks. She just jumps down but I'll keep putting her on the ramp. Actually last night after I put her up there and she discovered sow thistle and broccoli stalk, when I was out of the room I think she went back up on her own (there was a poop instead of a leaf, heh). Good to know that she'll get used to it if I keep putting her on there though.

they will need some time to used to it. u can train them by putting them on 2nd level 1st, then let them climb down themselves
