I am reading another site and reading up on mites lice and so forth, as most of you know my piggie Buzz passed away, and he had mites and had a few injections of Ivermectin. He had other problems also, that caused to his passing.
Well anyway to sad to talk about that...
So I was reading
"Lice, on the other hand, can usually be treated at home. Basically, any lice treatment suitable for cats will work for guinea pigs. Make sure that the lice dip contains Pyrethrin, and massage into the coat. Do NOT dip the head; take a small cloth with the solution on it and rub on the head. Dry thoroughly, as in bathing. Before you place your guinea pig back into the cage, change all the bedding and clean the cage with the lice dip, to kill any lice that may be remaining".
Is this healthy for a piggie? I know you treat with advantage, but I am afriad that this site is giving wrong info, I know the site but I will keep it private, if this is wrong I will email them and let them know the risks and stuff wondering if you guys can help me on this, I am fairly new and before I start debateing I would like ot know what other cavy slaves think?
