I read somewhere that fruit tree branches are good for piggies to chew on, but I was wondering if the follow trees are good for them as well...Spruce, Fir, Maple, Birch and Poplar? I'm thinking that they would be fine but I figured that I would ask just incase since I couldn't find anywhere that said anything specific about this.

They most likely are, but make sure that the spruce and fir trees don't have alot of sap.

I read somewhere that the leaves off of fir trees are poisonous to piggies so I wouldn't give them any branches off of them. Red maple leaves are poisonous as well so I would stay away from any maple tree branches. I can't find anything so far on birch or poplar.

I would stick with fruit tree branches that have not been sprayed with pesticides/chemical but they must be from those type of fruits that don't have pits. Stay away from cherry, peach, etc.

my dog eats them and seems fine lol..but then again he is a garbage gut!!

Hmm, well I got mostly all the trees I listed near me, there are a couple of apple trees so I guess I will try to get good branches off of that but would definitly prefer if i could use others.

ya, its much easier to get the other trees then an apple tree..for me anyway, but i'd rather be safe then sorry.
