Conditions Quarantine

So, I have a bit of a dilemma. Can someone tell me why quarantine has to be three weeks?

I am going away for a week. This is very, very rare, and I am going to ask a friend to come and feed my piggies fresh veggies, give them water, etc. However, I feel like the piggies would feel so much better if they had each other and weren't separated. However, in order for that to happen, I would have to put them together about two weeks and three days into the quarantine (I am leaving a few days to make sure they get along).

Please let me know your opinions!

It's three weeks because it takes a while for illnesses to show up. I know it sucks I'm going through that right now. It's better to have one sick piggy instead of multiple sick piggies.
