Well, quarantine is wearing me out. I feel like I spend my entire day washing my hands and face and changing my shirt. It is really difficult when I constantly want to hold, cuddle, and play with one of the piggies.
I feel like I have neglected my boys the last 2 days. They have not gotten nearly the amount of lap time they usually get.
It is hard because lap time is usually in my bedroom and now that is the quarantine room.
I think I am gonna divide my day up between them. Like when I first get home from work, it will be the boys time. Then before bedtime it will be the girls. That will drastically cut down on the changing from one shirt to another and constantly washing my hands.
2 1/2 more weeks... then they will all be in one room.
Looking forward to it.
I have also noticed some differences between sows and boars. Never having had them both at the same time to make such clear comparisons.
First thing I noticed (from Joanie sitting on my chest as I laid on the bed), sow butt and boar butt smells are in 2 completely different categories! Those boys truly have their own interesting aroma to say the least.
I have also noticed how my 2 new ladies are not very territorial.
I was told before I got them that they liked their own space for sleeping and relaxing.
There have been time when they have been eating out of their veggie dish at the same time I am a cringing wait for the nipping to start. It never does. Having had boys living in separate cages for so long because of fighting, I love seeing the girls like this.
Now, I did try to take out their hidies and put in fleece forest.... Bad idea. They prefer their hidies.
They so tickle me with how well they play together. Chasing each other around and not to show dominance. Just for the fun of it I guess.
My Joanie is a climber. I have found her on top of the hidey more than once.
It is gonna be great once I get them in a bigger cage. They are gonna be zoom zoom machines!
