Is pureed winter squash an OK food - my 6 week old seems to love it. Thanks

I dont know exactly what "winter squash" is (maybe its called a different name here), but a 6 week old guinea doesnt need to have pureed food - they should be capable to eat any food that adult cavies do.

Matt

It should only be used in severe cases of hand feeding if he stops eating- otherwise no.

Even if the guinea pig really likes it as a treat?

If you are pureeing it, and nothing is added, maybe a little lick now and then. If it is pre packaged, only in emergencies.

Why can't you give your pig small chunks of the winter squash. It doesn't need to be pureed unless they are having problems chewing or are very sick.
