Hey everyone!

I had a great idea for a pro-rescue/adoption video. It's called "Cuter than Me", and is a parody of Mike Posner's song "Cooler than Me". The parody will be clean, despite the expletive in the original song.

While the song is playing, I want to have photos of shelter animals, or perhaps just animals in general. I might ask on other forums too but there's no need to post photos in more than one place. :)

So, if you have a photo that you took of an animal looking particularly cute, or you've found a good copyright-free picture of same, please post it in this thread along with:
- The name for yourself that you want to appear in the credits/video description (credits will be brief scrolling at the end of the video)

I was going to restrict it to only pictures of adopted/rescued pets, but that might restrict us somewhat in content. So any picture of a pet that's yours, or you have the owner's permission, would be great.

Thanks!

I will have to find them, I have thousands of photos on my computer, but I have several of our rescues over the years. :) I think it would be so cool to see them in a pro-rescue video. They were all such sweeties. One was HW+ and had intense treatments as a tiny puppy and was very special. She would run into walls and was just plan silly, but she was the sweetest personality and when she laid down she would cross her front paws like a princess. I will have to find one of those photos. :)

If you choose to use my photo(s), use can use my forum name for the credits. This is my cat Chester. He had a tough beginning, his first few weeks, possibly months, of life he was born under an abandoned house, in the beginning of winter! Some of my friends and I saw the kittens a few times and I remember they were all brown/gray colored and there was Chester all bright orange and adorable. My friends were calling him Macaroni and Cheese hehe. I ended up taking him home because he was the only one who would come to me. We were living with my grandmother at the time who agreed to take him in, as hers. She called a shelter to come for the other kittens and "forgot" to mention he was one of them. We got him healthy again and he was a rambunctious little boy. He ended up bonding with me and she gave him to us a few months later when we moved out.
13 years later he's happy and healthy as ever, spends his days sleeping, cuddling, and eating. He's my baby boy, and to this day I think of how lucky he was to have found us.
He also loves the piggies, he cuddles with them and cleans them hehe.

Here's a picture of my little boy Goose. He came from Crazy Cavies Guinea Pig Rescue Inc. in Lauderhill, Florida. He's about a year old and I've only had him for about a month. He's the sweetest piggy ever and loves yummy treats. Who could resist those cute puckered piggy lips? If his photo is selected, please use the rescues name. They deserve the credit for this amazing little one.

The rescue gave me permission to submit this photo, since it was the adoption picture they took of him.

Please use my picture!

I think it would be a good idea if you gave people your email for videos, that would be cool.

My baby, Guiness.

I have two so I hope that is ok? :)

First is of my dog Ruby. We adopted her from a shelter when an accidental litter was dumped at the shelter because they didn't know what to do with the puppies. She's now five years old and the sweetest thing ever!

Then I have my guinea pig Millie! I adopted her from a small animal rescue called Wee Companions (you can use this rescue in the credits). I think that her mom was rescued in a huge group of guinea pigs, and then when they brought her mom to the rescue she had Millie and her brothers and sisters!

Thanks for the photos everyone!

I'm working on the soundtrack and sourcing more photos from the public domain. In the meantime, does anyone know how to remove lyrics on Audacity, leaving only the karaoke track? I bought a karaoke/instrumental version of the original song, but the verse structure doesn't exactly match the parody (which I based on the KidsBop clean version). Unfortunately the lyrics of the KidsBop are resisting the efforts of Audacity's automatic lyric-remover.

I hate to keep asking for help, but if anyone knows another way to remove lyrics that might work better, please say so! :) If it doesn't work, it's not an enormous problem -- I'll just have to splice bits of the instrumental version together, which might take a bit longer.

Thanks for all the adorable pictures!

EDIT: Eustace, I'll PM you my email address. If anyone else wants to submit video, please say so on this thread and I'll PM my email address to you.

Hi everyone.

Sorry for the absence. The video is still going ahead but I've been a bit distracted by the sad passing of one of my own guinea pigs.

Does anybody know a way to quickly edit a lot of photos to a similar style? Something like instagram for PC? I have gathered together heaps of public domain pet photos, but since they're all different sizes/shapes, I think that some kind of stylistic theme (even just slightly enhanced/artificial colour) would tie them all together and make it look less like... well, a random assortment of public domain pics. Otherwise I'll find something quick on GIMP and go through all the photos. If anyone knows any good effects -- posterising or something that would look cool, that can be done on basic photo editing software, please say so! :)

Thank you for all your photos guys and I really hope this works out!

[GuineaPigCages.com] Pro-rescue video needs YOUR pet photos! This is Gigi. She was adopted from a craigslist.com ad because her previous owners couldn't take care of her anymore. She is the first guinea pig I got, and she is the one that hooked me onto guinea pigs. For the credits you can name me: Wheekmau5
