Pregnant?

Im askinh this for my neighbors. The mom suspects that her daughters piggy is pregnant. Shes about 6 months old and the mom thinks her tummy is getting overly round. Is there a subtle way she can check? she dosent want to tell her daughter until she knows for sure.

Katie is on the right track. Where did the pig come from? A petstore, a rescue, a friend? How long have they had it? Has it been around males or does it live with a male now?

-__- I hate to have to say this because it probably reflects badly on me. But my neighbors have been trying to breed the two piggies they have. Dont yell at me because i have nothing to do with it. They had the male nuetered(finally) after sonething happened to his testicles(i dont know the details). But before that the girl and a slightly older male were housed together and may possible have mated. Ill check on the "pear shaped" thing.

How long ago was she housed with the older male? The gestation period for guinea pigs is around 63 days.

they were housed together around new years. and the boy was "shniped" 4 weeks ago.
