She does look as if she could be pregnant. Poor little piggy. Thank you so much for rescuing her, I really admire you! Have you felt any kicking yet? Good luck and keep us updated!

Just telling everyone Martha had her babies today. I've been having nightmares of her having her babies for the past few days and picked her up this morning and was like...hmmm...any day now. Though we'd put the thought of pregnancy behind us as she's kept at 830-850grams for the past month or so.

Would anyone like pictures??? 3 bubs. 2 self blacks (or not, I haven't checked under the belly) and one black with Martha's white random put blaze.

I haven't sexed them or weighed them yet as It's busy here with the kittens and two girls going to their new home today.

(The cage is baby proofed.)
We don't get how they're mostly black when neither of the parents had any black on them.

I just found this thread. Sorry my computer is acting up and I can't get the return to work. I recently rescued a female that had been housed with her father and 2 brothers her whole life. I expected babies within a week or so of getting her because of her age, almost 4 months, but she held off for about 5 weeks before she popped.

Just wondering, will it be okay if I take out the babies to take pictures and weigh?
I'm a bit worried about the runt, but Martha is feeding them all and grooming them...I hope they all make it.

(Just manged to pat one of the kittens with-out him attacking me!! Whoop whoop...haha so busy!)

Those weight's seem low to me, especially the runt. I would suggest keeping close eye on them.

Yes, we're thinking about giving the runt some critical care if it losses to much weight or doesn't start gaining weight from day 4-ish

Those are all such small weights! I would supplement them with some critical care to make sure they're gaining RodentCuddles

Rory was a tiny boy for an 8 month old when he left to go to his new home last week, so I'm thinking they might just have his tiny size.
Here he is during intro's with his new best mate who is just a normal sized 890 grams piggy...

So seeing as I stayed home all of today, and Martha was feeding them often; they're all very energetic, happy and healthy. I'll hold off critical care for a day or so as they're eating well.

Weights from day two..

Runt - 37 grams (Girl)

Big black - 59 grams (boy)

Colour - 62 grams (girl)

I'm very happy with the runt only losing 1 gram. Very very happy. I don't expect them to put weight on till around day 4.

I just love Runt's white mittens! They are so cute and look so alert and curious. Considering their Mom's story, I think they are doing great. God bless you for all you're doing!
