Well I read on the internet that your piggy should be under 6 months before she has babies. She may need to have c-section, it may not seem possible but I saw online that vets can do it. Um one of my 3 year old piggies had babies for the first time and she survied because she only had one baby. Good luck

If they don't have their first litter by a certain age (maybe 6 months), their hips will fuse and they will be unable to give birth. If they don't receive immediate veterinary care, they will die. Make sure to see an exotic vet who is experienced with pigs.

i know its dangerous, i have a vet. We will make plans according to her due date. I was also wondering, when the pups come will the older pigs get along with them? The boys will get nutered as soon as possable. I hope to raise them all as one big family. My cage right now is 32 1/2 by 50 inches. I think she is carring 2, well i am hoping thats all! do you think 4 could happly life in that space?
thanks!

30x76 inches is the recommended size, so you will need to expand. Also, you'll want to baby-pig-proof your cage by double-gridding or making the walls higher (I assume you have a C&C cage). Good luck on the piggies! =)

the height is 8 inches. Hummm so now i have to expand the cage? How do I do that? HELP!

Do you have any extra coroplast?

nope, should i buy another sheet?

Yes. To expand, you will need some grids, too. The ways to do it are:
1. make an entirely new bottom out of the new sheet so that it's all one big piece, and just add to the existing grids, or
2. add on to the existing grids and make just the new section of coroplast, taping it securely to the old piece.
Hope this helps! =)

well the piggies wont be here for a while, at least a month I hope! I will need to decide soon. thanks for all the help

No problem. I hope there aren't any birthing complications, and the best of luck to you and your pigs! =)
