I've had her 2 weeks now. I have noticed when I pick her up, that the lower part of her belly seems harder, not soft and "flexible" like it was 2 weeks ago. I had a pig several years ago that had babies and I felt the simalarity in the "hard" feeling lower belly. Buttercup is probably less than 3 months old. She WAS with another female when I bought her, but before that who knows:eek:hmy: I know they canget pregnant at an early age. So what are some signs to look for. I have no idea how far along she would be.

They get a "pear" shape to them.

When they are close to delivering (last two weeks) you can here a chattering sound when you put your ears to her belly. Weigh her daily. If she is gaining alot of weight, she may be preggo.

The only way to tell for sure is to get her to a cavy savvy vet.

Did you buy her at a pet store? Good chance she is then.

Can you post a pic? Hopefully she is just growing up.

I still need to post a pic that shows what I think is a "possible" pregnant looking belly. I've noticed she eats non-stop and tonight she just layed down in front of her hay pile and is continuously eating it. Like she does not want to leave it until it's gone:cheerful:
