Possible third guinea pig in the future

Depending if my job statis changes this summer. More the likely that Smores and CC will get another friend. I'll definantly be adopting, since the new center opened in town. There are tons of small animals especially guinea pigs looking to be adopted. It will be a while even if my job statis does change. I have the boys on a good budget right now. I'm looking to get some debts out of the way before I add a third cavy to the group. Hopefuly find out in the next few weeks.

Hmm...Dont get your hopes up matey. I have heard numerous times that trio's don't work because usually 2 gang up on 1. Also, because smores and CC have already bonded, another boar may ruin this bond.

I have a trio of boys and they get on "ok". They have some squabbles but nothing major. Two of them never leave eachothers side so the other one is left by himself! But he is fine and if he wants to cuddle up with them he can!

I'm not saying it definately won't work...just don' be certain that they will live in harmony. I really wanted another boar, but after some advice from this forum, I decided that I didn't want to muck up Ascot and Furlongs little friendship

If I were in your situation I would add two more pigs. The difference in price between 3 and 4 pigs isn't that much, and that way there is no 3rd wheel.

Yeah, even numbers, I would say are a lot better.

I agree that even numbers would be best but it did not work for me. I used to have four boys living together but they all picked on one of them so now theres three!
