Yeah, it can be confusing. I was thrown off by all of the phrases as well, but now I think I've got a fairly good grasp of the vocab there. For example: brilliant, cheerio, bonnet, car park, boot, diversion, chips, anticlockwise, pram, pushcart, trolley, dodgy, lorry, nappies, queue, cupboard... and those dratted roundabouts. Those are crash sites waiting to happen!

Nope, and... no. Well, yes, we *do* say brilliant, but not in the context that you use it in. We use it only to say, "She's brilliant" or "That's a brilliant idea!" (as in intelligent), rather than using it for, "That's brilliant!" or just "Brilliant!" as oyu use it (like cool or awesome).

I think somewhere in the US we may have a couple of roundabouts, but not here... thank goodness. Those things just about gave me a heart attack!

heh heh! There's a place called Milton Keynes, which is probably 30 mins from my house. The whole town (its huge) is made up of roundabouts. While we were driving round, I swear we saw 15. You should go there!! I sometimes say brilliant, but the posh folk tend to say it more.

Wow, I would absolutely die driving in that town. I don't think I could get around one, but 15 us insane!

It was awesome though, hearing everyone say brilliant. Especially when it happens to be a really hot British guy...
