My man is sick, NO vet in my state can or will see him for months and emergency vet said he didn’t see ‘exotics’. I believe he has upper respiratory and he’s not eating like he was and I’ve blended food and tried force feeding him so his digestive tract doesn’t shut down. he’s eating but not like he should. he’s my man and I CAN NOT LOSE HIM! please someone help

In your situation, I would locate the closest vet that DOES see exotics and simply walk in with him and beg. He will require antibiotics that have to be prescribed to fight a respiratory infection and it is not a battle he can win on his own. Be prepared to wait as they may accommodate you but there will be other pets ahead of you.

Guinea pigs go downhill very quickly. In your shoes I would go ASAP. I am sorry you and your little man are going through this. I do hope you can get him in and get this resolved.

Please keep us updated.

Where are you? City and state only, please.

If you're desperate, you can call a Banfield (assuming it is in your area) and ask if they have a doctor who sees exotics. You'll have to drop him off, but they have a 'free visit' coupon you can use. Banfield is terribly expensive, but if they have an exotics vet who can see him, it's better than nothing. I work at Banfield and some locations do have exotics drs, so that's why I mentioned it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend using us.
