Plexy Glass Bottom?

Hi,

My cousin works for a company that makes plexy glass and I was going to ask him if he can make me a bottom to my CC Cage, but I just want to make sure it's safe.

THe reason behind it is because my girlfriend wants a see through cage so she can see through the bottom, plus it will look really nice on the bottom.

What are you going to do for sides? Making a plexiglas base with bottom and sides is expensive and very heavy and something you definitely can't 'reconfigure' if you need to.

It's safe, but it won't stay that pristine. It will get scratched up and any urine accumulation at all will cloud up the plastic. You certainly won't be able to see through it, because it will be covered in bedding!!?? Not sure what you guys are thinking. The only time you'll be able to even notice that you have a plexiglas base is when you are cleaning it.

The sides are another story. Some people use a Coroplast base (bottom and sides) but cut part of the sides away and insert a section of plexiglas to make a window.
