Hi,

I noticed yesterday that my guinea pig that I adopted about a week ago was walking really slowly making this purring noise, and slowly shaking her rear.
My other pig Peanut was running really fast when I came into the room and seemed really hyper.

The lady I adopted from knows a lot about guinea pigs and checked to see if my pig was a girl and she said yes and then she said my new one was a girl too.

Is this normal behavior? I really will not be able to take care of babies too!

Well, my advise for an accurate sexing would be to visit the vet.

I mean it could just be a few hours thing where its female piggy's PMS BUT, see a vet for confirmation!

You really do not want to end up with 124 piggies... and that will happen with breeding & that number is possible within a couple of year!

Yes this is normal behavior! Purring is a warning, along with teeth chattering. Don't be to worry if one humps the another, they are just asserting their dominance. I would double check the gender of each guinea pig to make sure.

Two of my pigs do this when they are in heat and all three of my pigs are in fact female.

It's called rumblestrutting, it has nothing to do with PMS (sows don't really get PMS, but some sows can get a bit crabby when they are in heat). It's normal for boars to do it to boars and it's normal for sows to do it to other sows. Rumblestrutting is a dominance dance.
