Play Areas play area

I have my cage set up with the food/hay water and then the other side is a little sleeping pouch and a hay hideaway. I am noticing my guinea pig is pooping a lot more it seems like in the play area than he is where the food actually is. Is that normal? or is there anything I can do to change that so he isn't pooping as much where he is also jus hanging out?

Piggies will do their business wherever they see fit. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll go more in one area than another, and you can adjust their setup accordingly. As far as changing where he poops? Nope.
