Pigs in heat???

Princess and Buttercup have been acting very strange for the last day or so. They are cooing and purring a LOT. Usually they only coo and purr a little bit when we are petting them, but starting sometimes last night they have been doing it almost constantly in their cage. They are also walking around (while cooing) swinging their butts up in the air. Sometimes they will walk side by side and shake their butts and coo, sometimesit's just one of them doing it.

It's really strange.

So, is this guinea pig heat?

When My female smelled a male she would act like that but whether or not she was in heat or not i couldn't tell you. Are your female piggies around male piggies or can they smell them?

I think that they are in the heat. It shouldn't carry on for much a longer. A day or so and thats it
