Piggy eating Carefresh bedding

I noticed today that my guinea pig Coco digs in the litter pan so that he can get the carefresh bedding that I have under the aspen chips I use and he eats it. He' been bloated recently (I have an appointment with the vet tomorrow) and I just assumed it was from the Baytril antibiotics he was on. Does anybody else's piggy eat their Carefresh bedding? And if so is this bad for them and could it cause bloat?

My guinea pigs also eat their bedding - Carefresh and Aspen. I am sure they don't eat much to be concerned. My hamsters also munch on their Carefresh and they are all very healthy.
