Piggies eating paper

My piggies are eating the newspaper on the bottom of the cage! Ack! Why are they doing this ... they get plenty of fresh veggies, pellets and hay at all times ...

same, my pig chews on the cardboard roll of a toilet paper. maybe it just can eat it? for a new taste? duno... who got a scientific fact? lol....

it's just something pigs do, the only concern you should have is regarding the toxicity of the ink, though most newspapers use a soy base ink, you may want to call your local newspaper and ask them what kind of ink they use, just a quick easy phone call.
