Piggie licks me!

I had Peanut out for lap time last night while I was watching TV. I was just kinda stroking his back while he was stretched out on my lap and then I felt something wet on my arm. I looked down and he was licking me! It was so cute and sweet. He wasn't trying to nibble, just licking me. Is it like when dogs lick you? Does it mean he likes me? I know that sounds silly, but I like to think it was little piggie kisses and that he wasn't just tasting me!!

I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to piggies. Mine also licks me and boy am I ever itchy. I know that they say our skin is salty and as much as I would like to attribute their licking as liking us, I think its just the salt on our skin. Could also be a special smell they smell. But I look at it this way, if they are sitting on our laps enjoying lap time and licking and nibbling our arms, it is a show of contentment and YES THEY LIKE US.

I too believe they are getting the salt off our skin. All my girls lick me. I guess I taste really salty!

They just like the salt taste. They are not expressing affection. However, I don't believe they would do it if they were not comfortable with you.

I agree that it is the salt on our skin, but I STILL tell myself that they are kisses and it makes me really happy when Cujo does it!
