Hey all, this is my new sow in quarentine, Chocolatte. In the next week or so I'll be adding another 2x5 L to house her and Peaches N Cream, Squishy, Lovey, and Pepper. Peaches N Cream is my husbands pig but she is so cute I'll put up new pictures of her later today. Anyway, here is Chocolatte.

She's cute! She looks like one of those ridgeback ones!

Thank you! Is that what they call them? Ridgebacks? She does have one of those going right down her back and also one rosette on her right side, she is so cute. Not as easy to get to purr as my other abby who lets face it has the cutest hair problem ever, give me a few to get a picture of her up here too.

Ohh I love ridgebacks. I used to have a little boy one. He died when I was on holiday when he was only 2 due to the heat - it was a very hot Summer and I heard that loads of piggies died that Summer :-( she is gorgeous!...And so is your little sow, Sabriel.

Sakura seems to think she is some sort of grumpy criminal mastermind. I think we've watched too many Law and Order with her. I mean look at the way she can type already. And she's not even a year old

I love her black feet and ears. And her white stripe on her nose. She's my first piggie and I wanted one with attitude. I remember that old addage now, "Be careful what you wish for. It might come true." She's laying in her hammock right now playing "Queen of the cage"

Awww how sweet, she is beautiful Sabriel. I noticed Chocolate has that kinda attitude, totally different from my other abby. I am still learning about chocolatte as I have only had her a few days but I think she has that attitude too. I call her my show pig because she just looks like she is posing everytime I watch her. Chocolatte's favorite toy right now is her roll a nest. Can't wait to see what she does when she gets in the bigger cage.

Very cute piggy Linds, I would say he is definitely a ridgeback if mine is. Chocolatte's ridge goes all down her back and ends in one whorl, where does your piggies ridge end? I love how their heads have a little mohawk effect

I have a question:

A guinea pig that I used to have (she's passed now) had hair going in diff. directions, and I mean that on her face, you could stroke the hair like you stroke a short haired breed. But after her ears, her hair would go to where you would have to stroke her coming from her butt to her face. She had hair that came over her ears but stuck there, and a little mohawk on her back. Could she have been a ridgeback? I have one picture, but I have to wait till my scanner gets hooked up to the computer because it's a photo.

It sounds like to me you had a ridgeback, I'm very sorry she passed away. It kinda describes how chocolate's hair grows. I think its just neat but special petting has to be done to ensure she doesn't get her hair rubbed the wrong way. I brush her hair forward over her head and then from the neck down she gets it rubbed to one side and that makes her purr and seem content. I just love she has one whorl and its a pretty big one just above her hip. I can't wait to see your pic Ruby I bet she was a pretty and special girl
