VERY cute boys.

Oh My... I WANT Fuzz!! He's so cute - look at his hair!!

I love that Fuzz has a rock-a-billy pompadour

What cuties!! I LOVE Fuzz's hair!!! Adorable!

Is that a show clip on his ear?

I totally missed that myspoiltpiggies!

They are gorgeous, Fuzz has got a little quiff in the last picture

It is a clip, but I don't know if it's a show clip. When I talked to the established breeder here and described Fuzz to her, she knew it wasn't hers and told me who the breeder was. Based on the description, she thinks it's a purebred from his show pigs, but she couldn't be certain. That's why I'm trying to get a hold of the guy - to get more information.

I do love Fuzz's hair, but it grew so long that it started hanging down in front of his eyes, so he got a trim the other day. Now it has more of a mohawk look, but is growing out VERY quickly.

Oh they are so cute. Great pics.

The clip most likely means he is purebred, breeders would not generally tag a pig that was pet quality.

He is a Broken Peruvian. His hair will grow very long, and will require trimming.

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! soooooooooooooooooo so so so so CUTE!!!
your guineas are BEAUTIFUL!

That's the exact thing I said when I saw the last picture.

It's my understanding that the breeder is using the tags for identification purposes only. It's got his initials and an i.d. number on the tag. The established breeder here tags her pigs so that they're not confused with backyard breeder offspring.

My ideal situation was to adopt piggies, but after 12 months, nothing came up. I homeschool my 2 older kids and sent an email out to our entire region listserv looking for adoptees. Nothing. I scoured 2 local newspapers diligently for people selling or giving them away. Nothing. I kept my name on a list (which meant returning at least once a month) at the local animal shelter for pigs. Nothing. So, while my intentions were certainly honorable, no one wanted to satisfy my need for adoption. (All 4 of my cats and my dog have come from shelters and they're the best darn animals I've ever seen!)

I tend to shy away from pet stores (bad experiences when I was young and uneducated), but it turned out to be my only alternative. ***sigh***

Fuzz's pompadour is such a great reflection of his attitude. He's just TOOOO cool for words, dontcha know! .....until he popcorns and wheeks in his fleece baggie and it collapses all around him and he goes screaming out of it because the darn thing has attacked him and is trying to eat him again...

What city are you in?

Now that's some crazy hair!

Geographically, Houston. Politically, Wasilla. A little over an hour north of Anchorage and 5 hours south of Fairbanks.
