Photos of cage!

I just posted photos of my cage if anyone would like to look. Tell me what you think and if anything else should be done to it! I have a water bottle for the second floor, too, which I will put up when the second floor is finished all the way.

I posted a pic of one of my piggies, too, but I don't think it is allowed...? I will have to figure out how to post them in an e-mail...

Wow! I love the cage - the door is so cool. I think that you should put the hay rack inside the cage, or even just put it in a pile so that the pigs can play in it.

It's not necessary but they sure do love it.

Ok, I will have to put some in there. I just didn't want to put any more stuff in the cage, like a hay rack, because I don't want to take more of their running space away.

If you put it in loose they wll happily run right through it so no real floor space lost.

Why do they like to play in the hay more so than say, the alpine bedding? Is it just because they want to eat it? I swear I can't believe how much hay they eat. I have tried introducing a ton of veggies-kale, spinach, parsley, watercress, red leaf lettuce, cilantro, red peppers and green peppers and they will only eat the lettuce and cilantro! (and carrots, of course) It is really frustrating. Do you think they will ever eat the other things if I keep giving them to them?

The best way I have found to get pigs to eat new things is to give it in small amounts over several days time. I do that with every new veggie my pigs get. Sometimes they aren't willing to try it at first but they will later. The only things I can't get my pigs to eat after doing this is oranges and collard greens.
