Just how big does the average guinea pig get? I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

The pig that I am adopting weighs 3.5 pounds. It is actually a very large pig.

Well it depends on males and females. Males are usually between 2.5lb to 3lb. Females are a little less

I have come across a type of pig that can weigh in over 5 lbs. When I saw them at my local pet store they actually scared me - they looked big enough to eat mine who are full grown. One of the workers there claims she had one that weighed almost 10 lbs. My biggest was when I was a kid - he weighed in at 5 lbs, but he wasn't big - just real fat, but very happy and extremely social.
