peeing everywhere

my 2 lil pigs pee all over there cage ALOT.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> ..its reall gross. whbat should i do?? also how do you spot clean?

I have the same problem with my pigs as well. There is nothing you can do about them peeing in the cage. That's the only place they can do it. But if you are experiencing bad odors like I do when they pee alot, you can change the bedding more often than you usually do. Also, if you're not already doing so, try to buy some scented bedding. That usually helps a little with the smell. I know what you mean about that peeing. That smell will really get to you. It's strong isn't it?

What type of scented bedding are you using? I hope not cedar bedding... 8o

The only way a cage is gross from pee is if either it's too small or not cleaned often enough or both. Scenter litter should NOT be an option.

ok i just cleaned my cage yesterday and my cage is 2 grids by 4 with a loft 2 by 2....THANK YOU! its gross because it stinks..i take care of my babies

What kind and how much bedding are you using? There's just no way two guinea pigs can cause a stink in that size cage in such a short time if you are using traditional beddings and amounts of bedding.

my bedding

well i posted somewhere in here before...that i ran outa bedding and aonly covered like half the cage..the other half has only the newspapaer. i use aspen bedding. yesterday i got the coroplast. and we had to drive 2 hours(there and back) to get it because it was only 7 bucks for a 4x8 foot sheet 8o great deal! everywhere around my house was 25-30 dollars for the same sizethey're crazy! haha ...but any ways when i finaly got home i wasnt feeling good and had to go to bed because it was 10 and i had to get up early anbd babysit today...but anyways my point is...i got coroplast and more bedding and newspaper..so later today im gonna fix up their cage(i got 5 new toys too!! ) and hope fully it wont stink anymore!
