Pee/poop in hammock!

Hi all,
I have two cages. One is for my two girls and the other is for my two boys. I have a hammock in both cages and they all love it. But here's the problem. My two girls seem to pee and poop a lot in the hammock and it stinks really bad and is wet to touch. The boys don't do this so they aren't the problem. But why do the girls do this and is there anything I can do to stop them from peeing especially? I'm tired of having to wash it every other day. Pleeease help! I don't want to remove it completely because the love laying/sleeping in it as well. Thanks!

I don't know if there is any way to stop them from peeing in the hammock, but you could try putting something in it.

Adding a piece of fleece that has been wrapped over a hand towel maybe? I put some of these in the spots where my boys would pee as they slept. I changed them every day and the cage didn't smell as bad.

You can't stop them from peeing in the hammock. About all you can do is buy more hammocks and just put a fresh one in every day.

What is yours made of? If they're made with fleece with an absorbent underlayer, you shouldn't be feeling any wet spots.

I use pads that I have made from fleece wrapped around polyester batting on areas that my pigs pee on the most. Maybe put one of these in the hammock for them to lay on top of, it might help absorb some of the urine and keep them, and the hammock, drier.

The hammock is made of this fake sheepskin wool material and the bottom looks like cotton. Maybe I could buy a fleece hammock to replace this one. Thanks for you help.
