i think my piggie knows not to pee/poop when it's outside of its cage! Whenever i hold it or give it a shower and stuff it doesn't pee poop unless it's for a extensive long time, and it pees poops immediately after i put it back into its cage massively. haha i just thought it's funny, does anyone else's piggies does that?

most piggies do this - i think they are more comfortable doing their business in a familiar area

Yeah, all the piggies I've ever had have been self-trained to only go in their cage or on newspaper.

Actually - funny story - one of my long-gone piggies, Muffin, WOULD NOT GO outside. We'd take her outside and put her in the grass, and she'd sit there happily eating, and when she had to go, she'd act like she usually did when we held her - backed up, made frustrated-guinea-pig noises, and would look perturbed. I had my sister go in and get a piece of newspaper and put that in front of her... sure enough, she walked onto the paper, peed, got off and started eating again. LOL. :-D

Mine are that way too, except they have an area on the floor covered by a waterproof baby lap pad where they can "go" when they are having floor time.

really? even when they have free access to their cage?

Mine isn't going so much when he is in floor time anymore. He used to go a bunch but last time there was 1 poop. He didn't have free access to his cage though.
