Awesome! They smell great don't they?!! Um I have one brick in one of my cages and I just spray some dish soap and water on it (when I clean the cage) and then rinse it off really well (with the hose outside). They don't usually pee on it though just poops. But they may pee on it occasionally.

I was going to say the same thing, and be sure you let it fully dry before you put it back in the cage because you don't want it to mold underneath

I have bricks in one cage that the girls like to pee on. When I clean the cage out, I take the brick out, rinse it off and spray it with vinegar water like everything else. It dries while I clean the cage out but even if it doesn't, I just pat it dry with a paper towel and put it back in.

ok, i bet they will pee on it since its one whole section, and all their food is kept on it. ill be sure to wash it at least once a week.

Just wash it down with some vinegar and water

ok, this is just a general cleaning question, but does the vinegar/water mixture have to be used every clean?? i was thinking of only doing it about once every two weeks, so every 4-5 cage cleans, i guess. is this not often enough, or should it be ok?

hmmmm....well I use the vingegar windex stuff on mine usually every time.....

windex? havnt heard of that before? could you explain?

I don't use the vinegar water mix every time either. My linoleum stays very clean since I lay down so much newspaper. I don't have any coroplast sides to wipe down either. I probably only use it every other week. However, I give them floor time on a plastic sheeting thing, which I wipe down with that mix everyday.

just a good vinegar and water spary down will do it. because the blocks absorb liquid, you want to stay away from using soap because it will get absorbed into the brick as well. i use just vinegar and water and then give it a good rinse. dont forget to dry it off before you put it back in the cage.

Ruthies owner--please just use vinegar and water. You don't know what icky chemicals are in those mixes. I won't use it ever. It's cheaper to just mix your own as well. It should be good if you clean it with vinegar weekly, not sure about every two.

Good point starbucks about the bricks absoring...never thought of that.
