Hey just wondering if it's ok for the little pigs to eat the grass in the park. I plan on letting my pigs run around in the park a bit this Saturday.

I am not sure about that. You have to watch if they put any chemicals on the lawn,,that isnt safe to digest.

You'd need to make sure they don't spray chemicals on the grass and no dogs do their business on it. It can make them sick. Are you going to have a play pen or something? They may get spooked and run away especially if a dog or another animal comes by.

A public park? How are they going to run around?

Almost all public parks have some sort of chemicals on the grass. I would check with your local Parks & Rec Association, or whomever is in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the parks to make sure that they don't use pesticides of any sort.

DO you have a pen or something along those lines? I don't know about park grass - if it looks really green and pretty then its probably been sprayed with something!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'll be sure to check out that chemical thing. For a pen I'm gonna bring cubes and make a little pen out of that.

Just curious. Whats to stop an unleashed dog from attacking your piggy?
