Parents are soo Stubborn!

Hey,

As you probly know Im getting 2 piggies from the SPCA end of August. For a cage I really would like having a square one aposed to having a rectangle one. Because a 2X2 is wayyy too small for 2 piggies, I want to make a 3x3. The only problem is convincing my parents. My dad will probly say its alright after convincing him a bit, but I don't know what to do about my mom. It took me 6 months just to convince her for 2 cavys, how will I make her say yes to a 3x3? I'll try to find the picture that Insperated me for a 3x3 (its a great looking cage if I do say so) and will post the pic here. If you hve any tips PLEASE give me a hand, i really have my heart set on a 3x3. Thanks for your time.

If possible keep the cage in your room and pay with your own money. Extra chores tend to work too.

I am hoping you made a mistake when you wrote 2x2, because that is too small for 2 pigs, did you mean 2x3? If not and you did mean 2x2 I hope you reconsider in getting piggies if your mom won't let you get any piggies. You haven't given us the reason as to why your mom is against a larger cage. Share with us the reasons?

Hey, ya thats a good point. If its in MY room and baught with MY money, my mom shouldnt care too much, right?

anyway, i found the picture that inspired me, its actually a 3x4 i think but I love how everything can be so nicly spaced out with the Square shape.

This cage is Love_My_Piggie's cage. But isn't it a great cage? lol.

But im afraid my mom will think its ridiculous to have a big cage for 2 piggies. But do you thin telling her that its only like 1ft biggr than a 2x4, uses the same amount of cubes, will be in my room, and made with my money. Think that will convince her a bit?

Pennick~sorry if I didnt say this clear enough. But I said a 2x2 is far to small for 2 piggies. Which is why Im makeing a 3x3

I don't know why she doesnt liek bigger cages. Its not that she doesnt like them, shes just concerned about money and space.

Ok, well i got 1 third success. My dad said its fine, as long as i have enough space. And to complete the other 2 thirds i will have to convince my mom. Wish me luck.

Yeah considering my current living arrangement. Since I'm building a new cage. I might to move the boys to my room in a month or so. I've got it already covered and I thought it through. Keeps you company.

YEs! thanks all, well my mom says ok to the plan once I get a bigger room. untill then is a 2x3 ok or should it be 2x4? i willl have a big room in a few months.

Might as well make a 2x4. You won't spend any more $ than a 2x3. Later you'll feel better that you just went ahead and made it that size. You won't get frustrated about trying to expand the cage later.

allysse~ im talking that for a bit im going to have a small room because where doing reno's on my house. But when the renos are done Iwill have a room twice the size which is why Im makeing a 3x3 in a few monthes. But for now while i have a small room I can't decide whether i should make a 2x4 or a 2x3 for the few monthes i have a small room. I will have to make it bigger anyway when I make the 3x3. Ino its complecated to understand, hopefully you guys will get it. Thanks for your time.

Go with the 2x4. Your pigs will have a bit more room to run and play.

Squirle, also please try to be more consistent with your posting. You have some I's as i and some as I. It shouldn't be too hard to capitalize all of them. Thanks.

Oh Sorry! Im a terrible typer, I just learned how to type using both hands this year in school and I type faster than I should (I always make mistakes) I hope you understand. sorry about that! I'll try to type more carefully (if you noticed when ever I spell "Just" I spell it jsut), I will try to improve it, thanks for telling me so nicly.

I type fast too and end up fixing many mistakes as many of my words come out backwards too. May I suggest reading your posts over slowly before hitting the submit button. I always do. Sometimes I read them twice before posting.
