Pet Stores P@H

What do you make of pets at home in the guinea pig community? ive heard they've had a reform and are doing more positive things nowdays, for example giving to animal charitys and supported giving animals a second chance and have adoption programs.

For those of you outside the UK , p@H is a pet store which supplies goods + rodents and other animals.
The stores are usually medium size , not like the pet megastores over the pond ive seen, they also have a vet service

I really don't know anything about Pets At Home. Maybe some of our other UK members will weigh in about them.

I'm from the UK and I really don't know what to think of pets at home! I've heard some horrible stories about mistreatment but now I understand they run an adoption service... however how much they care about who the guinea pigs go to is another question. I guess I have supported them as I have bought some accessories etc from them - but I don't use them for the majority of my guinea pig supplies.
I have only visitied one store - and the guinea pigs there seemed heathly and happy. However, because it is such a large chain there may be huge differences between individual stores!
Personally, I would not get a guinea pig from there, or any other pet shop - my future guineas will be rescues

Would be interested to hear other peoples experiences of Pets at Home.

I dont live in the UK so I dont really know.....Laura@piggiepigpigs Says that they are very good and she buys most of her stuff from them. But I dont really know.

My dad works at Pet at Home. It is a very good place, trust me. They need to follow strict rules so every Piggie is healthy before they go to a new owner. You can PM me if you want to know more about Pets@Home if you like
