I herd that nutrafaise is bad for pigs. So I am going to start to use Oxbow. But what should I feed them until I get the oxbow????

I would reccomend something like Kaytee timothy complete Just until you get it.

They can go with out pellets, just give them a little more hay and an extra serving of veggies untill the pellets get to you.

Ohhh yea. I forgot that. They even have a complete "No pellets" diet which is the healthiest diet.

Next time, please don't make a new thread for the same type of question as is in your other thread. Try to keep the same subject in one thread.

You can get them some Kaytee plain pelleted food or you can go without pellets for a few days. It's important that pigs get plain pellets only, no mixes.

either www.oxbowhay.com or www.critterstore.com. I buy in bulk (50 lb bags) from oxbow, I have 6 pigs, used to be 8. I break it down and put smaller bags of it in the freezer. If you have one or two pigs you can buy in smaller bags from the critterstore.

How long does the Cavy Cuisine last in the freezer? I bought a 10lb bag from (broken link removed), but I'm about to have another piggy, and the 50lb directly from Oxbow seems like the most economical way to go. I'd go ahead and get the larger bag if the food won't degrade too quickly in the freezer.

It can last several months in the freezer. I do the same, I buy 50 lbs, break it up into smaller packages and store it at my mom's in her big freezer. About 3-4 days before I need a bag, one is taken out. I have never had any problems with it.
