Hey all,
I currently own two boars. They're not neutered and live separately as neighbors (each has 8 s.f. of space) at the moment due to fighting (they interact through a shared wall). My girlfriend and I saw a young sow (estimated 14 weeks) at a shelter and we were joking about adopting her. The more we thought about it, the more it kind of appealed to us that we'd get a very young pig that we can socialize very well.
Obviously, I wouldn't keep them all together, nor would I put the sow in with one of the boars without fixing one of them. But is it okay if I keep them all separately as neighbors, i.e. set up a third cage? Or would the mere presence of a sow throw the other two into utter chaos?
Thanks!
