Hello everyone! I am fairly new to guinea pigs, in fact I don't even own one yet but I am going to adopt soon! I just want to do all my research and get my facts straight first :) Anyways, I am slightly allergic to timothy hay. I had read that you can give Orchard Grass to guinea pigs instead of hay. Is it okay to feed them only orchard grass as a hay substitute? Thanks in advance for your input!

Any long strand grass hay is fine -- timothy, brome, orchard, meadow, or blue grass. Not alfalfa, as it's a legume, not a grass.

Just wanted to make sure! Thanks :)
