Could eating a lot of carrots turn a Guinea pig's urine orange? I know in people it can turn skin orange, I don't know about urine. The pigs have gotten more carrot than normal in the last few days, as we were out of the green veggies they normally get, and my son wanted them to have some kind of a treat. We moved them into the new large (2x4 cubes) cage today, and the bottom is a white shower curtain, with fleece over it. I just looked and the fleece was pulled away a little, and on the white shower curtain there was some orange liquid. It didn't look bloody, I work for a vet (but we only see dogs and cats), so I have seen a lot of infected and bloody urine, and it didn't look like that. It looked like carrot juice. Any thoughts? I just read about carrots being bad in excess, so will decrease the carrot, but in the meantime?
