Eeeeew. I suggest using food bowls you can hang onto the grids so the pigs don't get their butts up there. Like the bird food bowls jdomans showed.

My pigs don't pee into their bowls. I find the occasional poop but I find the occasional poo everywhere anyway, so I don't worry. At least the food doesn't get spoilt.

Mine do that too. Fortunately, I bought a different type of food dish that clips onto the sides. They cant reach it. It was getting to the point where they completely stopped eating pellets. If you have a Country Max in your area, they sell them there. Otherwise, I would suggest Petco or something like that (yes, the forbidden Petco. No, I do not shop there. I was there with my dog and saw it. The only reason I went to Country Max is because it's cheaper and I support them. They really are an excellent pet store)
