Newbie Q.

Hi all!
I finished building my first C&C cage last week. I stumbled on to this site about a month ago when i first decided on getting some piggies. I had no idea how wrong the pet stores were about cage sizes!

My cage is now 2x4 and its got a 1x2 hayloft sort of thing i love it! i would go bigger too..its just that we're in an apartment and kinda limited on space. I finally picked up my two babies today (Jake and Darsh)! my friend's pig had babies and i didnt want her to take them to a shelter or something.

Anyway i just have a question about the cubes. My pigs are about 8 weeks old and they can squeeze through the holes.. is this gonna be a problem until they get big and chubby? the coroplast goes up 6 inches.. can they climb or jump through?

would say no but I've never had a really young gp (well.. I'm getting one this week!!! yah!!!)

Um... It will be a problem. I'm not really sure how to baby proof it though since I've never had baby piggies

Make the cage sides higher, and double-grid with cable ties.

or you could put plexi glass all around so they cant get stuck
