New Piggy!!!

We got a buddy for Porkchop!lol Her name was Hazlenut on the petfinder site. Eric couldn't remember it so I told him to think of a name he would remember. He named her Applesauce. We almost have a full meal, Porkchop and Applesauce. They are in a divided cage now to get used to each other. How soon can I try putting them together? And where is best to try this?:?: So far they do a lot of posturing and scent marking. Apple is quite a bit bigger than Porkchop but Porkchop has a very stong personality. How slow should I take this?

An empty bathtub lined with sheets worked for me. Out on the lawn may be an idea too. If they are getting on fine through the bars, and they haven't been snorting at each other, there's no reason why they shouldn't be fine to try together later today.

Has Applesauce been quarentined? If she hasn't, it'll be 2-3 weeks before you can put them together.

Your pigs have brilliant names, by the way

On a side note - I'm getting a new piggy today, too! She will probably be called Florida-Peaches (she's called Pistachio at the moment; she's in a rescue), and she is sooo beautiful! I will post picturess as soon as I can (you do the same, porkchopsmom!). I'm just hoping that she'll get along with Charlie, Tuppy and Lottie...

I just adopted two little girl pigs today. They were named Chub face and Loop. I am so renaming them. Chub face is a light chestnut with a white head, and Loop is a darkbrown/white/light chestnut mix. So far, the light chestnut one has been named Praline. We ahd to leave their little neutered boyfriend behind. My dad won;t let me own 4 piggers. My older guinea pig is Chip. She is golden brown and currently all alone. So now she has some friends!

I hope they get along as well as my 2 seem to be. Right now they are haveing floor time and are playing under the newspaper on the floor.

How cute. I have Smores and Nugget playing in their hay. I have them a little to much. CC is eating the hay while they play.
