Okay so I know I made a thread not to long ago expressing how much I liked the kaytee clean and cozy bedding for my litter boxes. I did however have 3 problems with it number 1 it went everywhere when Lizzie and Marie would jump out of the litter boxes, number 2 it was not easy to scoop and number 3 it didn't do the greatest odor absorbing job. A petstore called wylie wagg ( they don't actually sell pets yay ) where we get our kitty food and only sells natural and organic pet food had recently started carrying small pet supplies so I went and decided to try the oxbow eco straw litter and I must say I love it! It is easy to scoop has barely any dust ( the only dust I have found is when pouring it into two smaller plastic containers from the 20 pound bag it came in other than that none at all really ),it is super easy to scoop, is very absorbant, controls odor beautifully and if the ingest it it won't harm them because it is plant based!!!! I also got some food and treats from them.

Is this stuff loud? My guineas scoot around and some of the hard litter I've used was unbearably loud when they ran around.

Nope not loud at all. At least not with my piggies even when Lizzie and Marie jump in and out of their litter boxes or turn around to drink water or something it's not loud. I mean like any pelleted litter you can hear it but it's a pretty soft sound.

Cool, thanks, I'll give it a shot!

Haha!! As soon as I saw your post about Clean and Cozy, I ordered some for my kitchen area because I loved the idea of no dust...It was a disaster! It FLEW out of the cage all over the floor, it stuck to every inch of the pigs, and it was tracked ALL over the fleece. The entire time, I'm thinking "wow how does anyone use this stuff, maybe she has short haired piggies and that's my problem." :) We've moved on to Yesterday's News which I highly recommend for kitchens.

Needless to say, I just laughed out loud reading your more recent review :)

@Brian O I hope it works as well for you as it does for me let me know what you think.

Haha yeah that was the main problem I had with it I have one short hair piggie and one longhair my longhair is a silkie and I keep the ends of her fur near her rear trimmed to prevent matts. I had to use a mini vaccum to get it off the fleece and it was a royal pain. I definetly wouldn't reccomend it for guinea pigs anymore it would probably suit hamsters better to make their nests with.
