Goodmorning guys and girls and Merry Christmas! I found in a shop the coroplast material and I am thinking of building a c&c cage. I do not have grids but i am going to use the grids of a playpen (Trixie). I think they measure 34*23. The question is: How can i build the c&c "homemade" cage and finally how easy is to clean it afterwards? Thank you in advance :)

Hi Hector! Welcome to GPC! Here's how to build a C&C cage.
How to Make a C&C Cage

Since your grids are smaller, you may need more grids for the cage. You can use cable ties to secure the grids together. After you've connected all the grids, measure the inside of the perimeter before you cut and score your coroplast to make the tray.

I've also seen cages made entirely with only coroplast. The coroplast walls would be higher than the ones built with grids.

Thank you! I'd like see a video of the hole thing but ok. The color of the coroplast affect the little pigs?

You can use any color, it won't affect them. If you choose to use all coroplast, go bigger than recommended size, it will be better for air circulation.

I bought coroplast (blue) and I'm going to build the cage! I think 100*60 is the excellent size for a piggy, not?

Cm or inches?
If it's in cm, it's about 6.4 square feet. And quite a bit below the absolute minimum for one pig. I would recommend making it at least plenty large enough for two pigs for future cage mates.

Also, After you build the base, fit your grids around it. I would not recommend using a playpen, though, because it is quite small. For 2 pigs I say your cage should at least be 10.5 sq. ft. for a happy piggy. C&C cages are easier to clean than small cages.

100x60 cm is a bit small. See the recommended sizes in metrics on this link:

I noticed you have one pig, are you planning to get him a friend?
