new here... 2nd pig questions
Hi
We are the happy owners of one very spoiled Mr Pigg. He is a healthy 2 1/2 year old male who has lived with us as a single piggie since we adopted him at 6 months old. We have recently rearranged our living room to allow him a prime spot on a low coffee table where our kids can get to & play with him, and he is out of any drafts. With this move we are now able to make him a 2x4 cube & coroplast home to stretch out & run in, and are considering getting a second (MALE!!!) piggie companion for him to play with as well.
We have read several sites about introducing the second piggie slowly & all of the warning signs to watch out for with fighting or rejection, but were wondering if anyone else has introduced a new piggie to their fur friends after such a long time, and if this works out well or is generally not a good idea. We do have the room to increase the new home to comfortably house a second piggy separately if they did not work out together, but would much rather know ahead of time if he is likely to reject any new friend.
Mr Pigg is rather laid back, and has only bit one person once. (my sister, who had just gotten done bathing her cat and probably still smelled like a predator) He has plenty of running & cuddle time each day, and has bonded well to my 7 year old son.
Thanks!

Marcy
