new baby piggy

I have adopoted a new baby piggy to my piggy group. She's 4 months old, and the other 5 of them are about 1-2 years old, I am just wondering would she need special food? and how can I control other piggy not eat up she special food. (i.e. Cavy Performance and alfalfa) now I am feeding the rest of the piggy Cavy Cuisine

Hmmm.... That is a tough one. Maybe you keep them in seperate cage for a month or so and feed the little baby cavy perfomance and alfalfa or you can just make another food bowl with cavy performance in it and put alafalfa hay in the cage.

I made a little "creep feeder" when I intro'd Windy to my group. It was a grid angled in a corner and connected so that the opening weas just be wnough for her to go through but not the big pigs, and I put her Cavy Performance in there. The other piggies were on limited pellets so there wasn't a large bowl of the Cuisine around so it worked well.

Ohterwise, you can mix it 50/50. A little calcium won't be awful, just take it easy on calcium rich veggies.
