UTI/Urinary Tract Infection Natural Alternative to Anitbiotics

Hello,

My piggy has never had a UTI before. Is there a natural alternative to an antibiotic? For myself I know garlic, cranberry juice, lemon and honey are great but I'm not sure what my piggy can have. Can he drink lemon tea with honey? Should I seperate him from my other piggies?

You shouldn't rely solely on those things. Guinea pigs can die from UTI's if not given vet treatment.

You also shouldn't give pigs garlic or lemon tea, someone with more experience can chime in if cranberry is bad or not.

If you're worried about damaging intestinal flora with antibiotics, you can also give them probiotics. But seriously, get him to a vet. He may also require an x-ray to see if he has sludge or stones.
